Listen now (48 mins) | We have a change of pace for you today. We’re going somewhat technical (don’t worry, it’s all understandable!) as Emma invites onto the show, Dr Hilary Marusak to talk about the brain and how it can relate to play or more specifically in movement based activity. We’re peeling back the layers and brain science of the ‘runners high’ how it happens and how to get it (not just from running!)
On the point about play and movement, have you come across emkfit on YouTube? She does dance-based work outs to musicals/musical decades/specific artists, etc and her two mottos are 'fake it 'till you make it' and 'wrong and strong'. There's a SIX workout you and Indy might like (I find these workouts feel more playful and are more motivating for me to do, and feel less awks about if my co-ordination is rubbish that day 🤣)
